Description
Summary:This article uses the History of the Present Time to analyze a group of virtual lesbian socialization, O Meninas RJ - through WhatsApp and other social networks - that promotes periodic face-to-face meetings aimed at lesbians living in the periphery, marginal regions, of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The group is conducted with irreverence and welcome, offering a plural space for lesbians and women who have sex with women. It is a territory of resistance for LBTI + people who integrate it in spaces of peripheries, poverty, racism, lesbophobia, capacitism, etc. Roughly speaking, the group represents autonomous collective construction and strengthens the popular power of the region's lesbian community. The central argument is that marginal stories can be brought to the fore to rethink primary sources and reposition women's history as a truly critical field that embraces all marginal women.
