Description
Summary:Spectral and temporal parameters of heart rate variability in patients with severe alcohol intoxication were analyzed in short-time ECG recording, as well as during 24-hour ECG monitoring. Individuals with acute alcohol heart injury and ventricular arrhythmias had reduced heart rate variability, comparing with patients not demonstrating life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias. The most powerful predictors of heart rate variability disturbances were spectral parameters in brief ECG fragments, and temporal characteristics - in 24-hour ECG monitoring.
