This includes: teaching programmes, scholarships, fellowships, industrial training programmes, awards, re-entry grant, etc. In addition, critical mass of desired expertise for biotechnology research is also being created by providing financial support to the investigators for research and development in various disciplines of biotechnology such as medical, agriculture, medicinal and aromatic plants, food and nutrition, environment, marine, veterinary, nanobiotechnology, etc.
