Rione Sanità is a district of the historical center of Naples, just outside the greek-roman walls.Until the eighteenth century, it was an area dedicated to religious activities and refreshment of the aristocracy. With the transformation of the urban city and its social composition, Rione Sanità becomes a neighborhood inhabited primarily by subordinategroups of the population. Poverty and unemployment become the hallmark and, with them, the most varied forms of illegality.However, in the informality of the streets of this area, are developed – through the decades – even alternative forms of collective life that escape criminal hegemony but also the moral and political sense prevailing in society and the state.
