The method to predict the steady state and dynamic performance of the converter fed with PMDC motor operation has been presented. The proposed converter has been analyses with the closed loop and open loop condition. The simulation study indicates the superiority of fuzzy control over the conventional control methods. A prototype Buck converter is designed and experimentally demonstrated. The prototype is tested for the steady state and transient conditions.
