Ideological Foundations of French Hegemonic Aspirations in European Politics in the 17th century
This article examines the evolution of the political ideas justifying French dominance in European politics in the second half of the 17th century. The political views of Louis XIV, Richelieu, Sully, Bodin, Montaigne are studied.
