Description
Summary:The paper is devoted to quasi-static and low-velocity impact simulation using finite element modelling. The paper describes the effects of contact models, contact parameters, integration method, and the velocity of impact on contact stresses values. Pure Penalty, Lagrange Multiplier, and Augmented Lagrange Multiplier with various friction factors were used as contact algorithms. The influence of Newmark’s integration method and the central difference time integration method on the resultant stresses is discussed.
