Summary: | To establish sustainable local development strategies, territory and local culture are diagnosed. Population data, rainforest’s local resources use, dependence and destination of fishing, timber - non-timber, used by rural communities of Ecuador’s Amazonian Kichwa indigenous nation territory, affected by colonization in the valley of Anzu - are presented. Surveys in six communities and recorded discussion workshops that relate circumstances of Community interest were done. Communities conserve and depend, 67% of biodiversity, at least. Amazon fruits processing, enrichment and support of agro-ecosystems, growing promising fish and mammal’s species in this forestry and conservation area, are necessary as strategies for sustainable local development in this communities beginning to allocate resource use also for sale |
