碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 行為科學研究所 === 82 === 　　This study aims to explore the relationship between male drug abusers, their sensation-seeking-motive and anxious-depressive mood, and also to compale the differences in sensation-seeking, social support, anxiety and depression between drug abusers and non-abusers is an attempt to establish a prediction model for male drug abusers. 　　This method of case-control study was employes and marietal collectes using structures questionnaires and individual interviews. The durg-abusing group was sampled intentionally, all male samples being patients from Narcotics Abstinence Department of Psychiatric Hospital, Kaohsiung. The non-drug abusing (control) group was matched according to age and educational level. Each group sampled 139, all receiving assessment tools including sensation-seeking scale, social support scale, state-trait anxiety scale and depression scales. Results were analysed as follows: 　　1. Significant differences were seen in variance analysis for most drug-abusing variables (age at first use of drug, kind of drug, how long and amount uses) comparing with sensation-seeking-motive, social support, anxiety and depresssion, while the influence of demographic variable reveeled mostly nonchewing betel-nuts and appraisal relationship(X5). Established a prediction model: 　　Y=6.2164+2.5224X1+2.9223X2+0.0851X3-0.0599X4-0.0999X5 　　The analysis of male drug-abusing behaviour helps in understanding its etiology and works furthermore as a referance for guidance and treatment in relates organizations.
