碩士 === 淡江大學 === 建築(工程)學系 === 84 === This study is concerning the influence of race interation and conflicts on the Hakka scattered villages in Kuan-hsi area The Goal of this thesis emphasizing at the clarification & order which could form the unique type of space structure on the street of Hsinkang Area.And also to illustrate the policy involved in the space management,and the influence of their interaction to the day-to-day life of the residents. This thesis is basically divided into two parts : Phase 1, Discuss the strategic timing issues & historic affairs since Japan colonial paried which play a conductive role in forming the street space.Those parts include 1)the planning & design theories introducted by the colonial government.2)the impact of building codes at that time. 3) the process employed for the development of public roads & utilities.4)The methods efficiency of street maintenance.The second Part (Phase 2).the method of comparison is used in this phase to discuss the problems and characters of those street spaces. To figure out the point in terms of the declining of the street public space . we can tell how important part played by the government in this process through its urban planning and the maintaince policy.
