performed great achievement on it''s management and operations.
Due to the rapid growth,the available space of Science Park is
now constrained,so it is necessary to find candidate place for
future Science Park operations.In this study,the industrial
resource of Hsin-Chu Expansion Park,Tainan Science Park and
Expot Procession Zone (EPZ) are compared together in order to
analyze the priority of industrial arrangement and to offer the
reference for the resource allocation planning of Tainan Science
Park.An analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method is applied to
evaluate the resource allocation and the competitive priority of
IC,Precision Machine and Biotechnology industries. the proposed
plan is useful for the planning of New Science Park development.
This paper draws the following conclusions :1.According to the
three indexes of productivity,we analyze the development
situation of each industry in Hsin-Chu Science Park,we find
Computer and Peripherals industry is the best and the Biological
industry is inferior.2.We use AHP to evaluating the resource
allocation in each sector of the three industries,the
conclusions are : (1)IC industry:according to executor''s point
of view and objective data,wethink that the optimal allocation
of industrial resource is in Hsin-Chu Expansion Park.(2)
Precision Machine industry:according to the executor''s point of
view and objective data,we find that the optimal allocation of
industrial resource is in Hsin-Chu Expansion Park,but according
to the objective data,we also find that Taichung Export
Procession Zone is the secondary allocated sector.(3)Biological
technical industry:according to the executor''s point of view,we
find that the optimal allocation of industrial resource is in
Hsin-Chu Expansion Park,but according to the objective data,we
find that Tainan Science Park is the most optinal allocation
sector.With the results of this study,it can provide a guide for
the industrial development situation in Hsin-Chu Park and the
industrial introducing planning in the future in Hsin-Chu
Expansion Park.
