Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 政治經濟研究所 === 86 === Development theory is an important field in Political Economy, since East Asia had achieved rapid development, various approaches attempted to explain how that region could development.The Development State model considered the state is the primary element to East Asia development, because these states shared highly autonomy and capacity.This thesis attempt to examine the role of state in Taiwan''s development process, and test the validity of the Developmental State model in Taiwan case.As the conclusion, this thesis found the state was not crucial contributor to Taiwan''s development.
