碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 87 === Spread behavior of motorcycles in the building arcade Thesis Advisor : Ching-Yung Lin Graduate Student : Wei-Zhi Lin ABSTRACT This study discusses the fire spread behavior of the motorcycles in the arcade ,using full-scale arcade,to compare spread behavior of the motorcycles placed in the arcade fixed with combustible ceiling or not and the single span arcade or three spans. By analyzing the study results shows that the combustible ceiling fixed up to the arcade have a huge influence of fire spread of motorcycles during the process of fire growth and it makes frame spread towards two sides of arcade much easier. In the results of one span and three spans fixed arcade conducted us to understand the fire spread behavior of one span arcade is similar to the three spans arcade and both of their speed change trend is very closed. Using the results of motorcycles in the single span arcade to estimate the fire spread speed of the continuous arcade is approached to the results of experiment.
