The research is based on these young adult novels at the 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 11thand12th session of Taiwan Province Children’s Literature Award. First, the research generally analyzes the character, background and event of these novels and then focuses on the peer interaction of events in these novels. The research methodologies are the analysis of documents and texts, besides these chosen texts are with more depiction about peer interaction. The main discussion is the process and influence of peer interaction in novels. The first result of this thesis is that most peer characters are classmates because school is the most popular setting in young adult novels. Secondly, Problem solution leads the process of peer interaction. Thirdly, the positive influence of peer interaction is more than the negative in most of these novels. Finally, the researcher brings up two suggestions for the research and writing about peer interaction.
