Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 土地管理所 === 90 === Under the views of efficiency and the Long Waves Theory, this study defined that the greater output the “advantaged” service industry produces, the higher efficiency it performs. By using Data Envelopment Analysis, the study examined the efficiency of advantages service industry of Taichung. According to the Long Waves Theory, we technically observe the shifts of the output and input of the advantaged service industry. Furthermore, combined the outcomes from the above, this study examined the definition of “advantaged” service industry. Limit to the data, we could only observe the growth of the output of the advantaged service industry till 1996. Therefore, we studied the relationship between the increasing of the establishment units and the output. According to that, we extended the observation of growth of the output for 2001. In sum, this study found fifteen advantaged service industry of Taichung, including wholesale trade of drugs, wholesale trade of electrical and electronic equipment and apparatus, retail trade of electrical and electronic equipment and apparatus, wholesale trade of precision instruments, restaurants, wholesale trade of furniture and fixture, retail outlet, air freight transportation forwarding services, ocean water transportation, personal insurance, general advertising service, sanitary and pollution controlling services, electrical repair shops, audio tape and record publishing, and theatrical, dance, music and other arts activities.
