The study utilizes a standardized testing in-strumentation entiled "Elementary School Children Life Adjustment Scale".Subjects are comprised of 374 gifted pupils and 576 average pupils in ele-mentary schools. The following findings were derived from this study: 1. The overall life adjustment of the gifted pupils is beyound the normal level. 2. The comparison of overall life adjustment between the gifted and the average pupils shows no obvious difference. 3. The gifted pupils from different graders do not differ in their overall adjustment. However, the scores suggest that in the subtest of "adjustment in study and play game" and "goals for living", fourth graders surpass the sixth graders; whereas in the subtest of "social adjustment", the sixth graders are superior to the fourth graders. 4. The gifted pupils by sex do not differ in their overall adjustment. However, the scores suggest the girls surpass the boys in the subtest of "be- havioral inferiority", whereas the boys are superior in the subtest of "physical inferiority". 5. The gifted pupils from different social-economic status do not differ in their overall adjustment. However, in the subtest of "adjustment in study and play game", pupils of higher status surpass those of the lower status.
