Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 物理學系 === 90 === The main goal of LEPS at SPring-8 in Japan is to study the nuclear physics and the non-perturbative nature of QCD in the GeV energy region. The Backward Compton photon-electron Scattering can provide the photon beam with GeV energy as projectile and if the photon energy greater than 1.57 GeV, then the φ meson will be produced as it collide with Hydrogen target. In this experiment , one of the main project is to reconstruct φ from k+ and k- . The goal of this thesis is to construct a calibration procedure and enable us to enhance the particle identification ability. The higher mass resolution is the better for reconstruction of φ meson. With this calibration procedure, we get a good time of flight resolution around 150 ps, and the K/π separation at 3σ confidence level is up to momentum range about 2 GeV/c.
