Being both a practitioner and a researcher, I reflected if my professional ability can apply to the teaching and tried to make it more mature during the second decade of my teaching career. What hinder the professional judgment of the art teachers are ready-to-use art material packages, art competitions, teaching tasks, curriculum reform, and the edging crisis of art education. During the last four years, we developed several applauding thematic curriculums with community resource but faced the dilemma of allocation nine year education subjects; To revise the value of outside campus art competition, we built an art gallery in our compact campus to exhibit all the kids'' art works; With the improved professional ability, I dared to use the community and art museum as outside visual art classroom and choose the novel teaching material beyond the text books; Refusing to be an outsider of nine year education program, I chose to teach ''''living area" , although I gave up the job later and taught " art and craft" again; For the love of fine art , let''s hold the kids'' hands and have the art prevailing all over the campus. In the curriculum practicing process, there are four stage results of this research: 1. Searching the essence of visual art education; 2. Examining the trend of visual art education reform; 3. Building the art works exhibition space in the campus; 4. Reflecting the status of visual art teachers. These results are valuable references for improving elementary school visual art education, building the visual art environment in campus, making education policies, and clarifying the education philosophy.
