Additionally, due to remind the awaking of female health form female population in Taiwan, the Department of Health (DOH) in the Executive Yuan legislate some policies for female health. Currently, the regulation, relating sex education for female teenage, is already to be legislated, but dysmenorrhea is another issue, which has not been solved. Because of no effective medication, female teenager usually has nothing to do except tolereancing, taking a rest, or taking anagestic, while they lie in the symptoms. Therefore, the purpose of this research is trying to develop a physical exercise for releasing the sense of pain caused by dysmenorrhea . Quasi-experiment design, was implement in a senior high nurse school students whom have been suffered three or more times dysmenorrhea experience in past half year during the April to August, 2003. A sample of 73 subjects was recruited in this study, and separating to two groups as experimental and control groups. For the control group, 33 subjects, has not to be offered any physical exercise. On the other hand, the experimental group, 40 samples, brings into the physical exercise practice for 3 months. The physical exercise program comprises Billing exercise, stretching position of Yoga as cat position, dog position, snake position, preparation position and Golub exercises. In addition, the period of treatment will be taking total 8 weeks, three times a week, and 30mimutes per time. The questionnaires consisted of the Short Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(MSQ-SF), the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), the Stress Point Scale, and the Menstrual Distress Questionnaire (MDQ), which will be used in before and after taking physical exercise program. The data was analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, χ2 test, and generalized estimating equation(GEE)through the SPSS 10.0 and SAS 8.1. The results of data revealed a significant decrease in the adolescent dysmenorrhea sensory of pain (Z=-3.63,p<.05)and pain levels (Z=-4.07,p<.05). Even though the menstrual distress showed significant differences(Z=1.97,p<.05), the releasing symptom of control is better than experimentation group. No significant differences were found in the stress suffering from daily for both control and experimentation groups(Z=-1.34,p>.05). However, the lower scores of stress in all samples decreased. The researcher concluded that the physical exercise is an effective method to improve dysmenorrhea. The results of the study will be the references for self-care of dysmenorrhea and adolescents to design programs of menstrual health. .
