Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 91 === Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is an information system that can assist in enterprise daily operations and decision-making. ERP is applicable to all industries. Many enterprises have adopted ERP. ERP is one kind of strategies for adopting new information technologies. ERP alters enterprise value when new technologies are adopted. Most previous investigations focus on the factors that behind the successful adoption of ERP systems and assess the effect degree of organization performance. On the other hand, few works have analyzed variation of enterprise value after the adoption of ERP systems. Enterprises that implement ERP systems experience a change in value. Consequently, it is important to select a reasonable method for measuring enterprise value to objectively assess the value of firms that implement ERP. Traditional methods of firm valuation are based on single financial indexes, such as ROA or ROE. This study constructed a multi-financial index numerical assessment model based on the approach to enterprise valuation established by Penman. Analysis of the new evaluation model is useful, and the measurement accuracy of the multi-financial index model was found to exceed that of the single financial model. The findings of this work can assist managers wishing to objectively measure business value after a business adopts ERP or other new technology strategies.
