For increasing brightness of EL, the alternative way from improving material quality is rising the charge density between a insulting layer and a phosphor layer, because of the charge density proportioned with the phosphor absorbing energy. As the result, adjusting the thickness of insulting layer and binders’ composition in different voltages and frequencies could obtain a better luminance. An EL device cross-section thickness could be observed by microscope to detail the thickness variation. This study also show that the resin used in industry is better than castor oil in adhesion, and has better luminance at low frequency. The castor oil has better dispersion to reduce the amount of phosphors and improve spreading. In other hand, the luminance of castor oil is superior to the resin at high frequency. Measured by EIS(Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy), the resistance of the phosphor layer in EL is varied of current frequency.
