Participants were 171 fourth-grade elementary students (86 students with learning disabilities，85 normal students) . Written Language Ability Diagnostic Test for Children was used to measure each student’s productivity， syntax and level of abstraction. The major findings were summarized as follows: 1. The abilities of the productivity，syntax of normal students were at the middle level and the level of abstraction showed regular . 2. The abilities of the productivity、syntax and level of abstraction students with learning disabilities students were below average and need remedial instructions. 3.
