Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 教育政策與行政學系 === 92 === The purposes of this study were to explore the actual condition of principals’ administrative ethics and teachers’ morale and to analyze the relationship between them in junior high schools in Nantou County. According to the results of the research, suggestions were provided for educational administration agency, related organizations or personnel, and further research. The literature analysis, questionnaire survey, and on-site interviews were utilized to acquire related data. First, literature analysis encompassed data from both domestic and abroad, regarding principals’ administrative ethics and teachers’ morale. Second, questionnaire survey was conducted to 660 teachers selected from 30 public junior high schools in Nantou County. The data of the survey were analyzed by statistic methods including descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple-stepwise regression. Finally, on-site interviews were conducted to seven teachers selected from public junior high schools in Nantou County. According to the results of data analysis, the main findings were as follows: 1.The level of junior high school teachers’ perception of principals’ administrative ethics is upper-intermediate in Nantou County. 2.The level of junior high school teachers’ morale is upper-intermediate in Nantou County. 3.In Nantou County, junior high school teachers who are male, have more than twenty years seniority, service in schools whose size between twenty-five and forty-eight classes, and service in general area have higher perception of principals’ administrative ethics. 4.In Nantou County, junior high schools teachers who are assigned administrative affairs and service in schools whose size between thirteen and twenty-four classes have higher morale. 5.There is very close relationship between principals’ administrative ethics and teachers’ morale in junior high schools. 6.The “virtue and morality”, “equity and justice”, and “professional excellence” of principals’ administrative ethics can predict teachers’ morale, especially the variable of professional excellence has the biggest predictability. According to the research conclusions, the following suggestions were made: 1.Suggestions for educational administration agency A.Regularly have the professional practice activities about the principals’ administrative ethics B.Put the administrative ethics to the references of selecting or accessing school principals. 2.Suggestions for junior high school principals A.Consider teachers’ character and property of schools so as to perform more suitable administrative ethics to raise teachers’ morale. B.Adjust teachers’ positions at suitable moment so as to make teachers have opportunities of contacting administrative affairs and accepting different task challenges to arouse their morale. C.Positively promote the innovation of job and learn professional knowledge and skills; encourage teachers to make progress; place importance on the future development of school. D.Hold the principles of equity and justice when dealing with public affairs; do the best to maintain teachers and students’ rights. E.Pay attention to personal virtue and morality and establish a good example to all teachers. F.Frequently listen to teachers’ opinions and place importance on them; actively care teachers’ needs and welfare; help them solve problems. 3.Suggestions for further research A.Expand the research objects B.Deeply explore specific schools C.Broaden the research subjects to other aspects
