Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立台北師範學院 === 教育政策與管理研究所 === 92 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the gross motor development of fourth grade elementary school students of different gender in Pengnan area, Penghu County and their academic achievements, and discrepancy in their gross motor development. The research tool used in this study was TGMD-2, the indices of academic achievements were Mandarin and Math scores. The subjects were 38 male students and 42 female students, a total of 80 students, with average age of 9.11, from four elementary schools in Pengnan area, Magong City, Penghu County. The subject scores were converted into T-score and compared for correlation with Pearson product-moment correlation against Gross Motor Quotient tested with TGMD-2. The data were analyzed with t-test to determine the discrepancy in their gross motor development. The concluding of this study were as follows: 1.Fourth grade elementary school students in Pengnan area, Penghu County with better gross motor development showed better academic achievements. 2.Gender showed no significant difference in locomotor development of fourth grade elementary school students in Pengnan area, Penghu County. 3.Fourth grade male students showed better object control development than female students did.
