碩士 === 東海大學 === 社會工作學系 === 92 === The primary goal of this study was to investigate job stress and burnout of the medical social workers. From the variable items of the personality of medical social workers and the organization of working hospital to analyze the variance of medical social worker of job stress and burnout ,and their relationship . The subjects were 190 social workers of medicine center and area hospital in Taiwan. The instruments of this study included four parts: organization factors, job stress questionnaire, burnout questionnaire, personal data. The data was analyzed by the statistical methods of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearsons product-moment correlation. Findings were stated as follows： 1. There was significant difference existed among variables of age, the total number of working years, religion on job stress. But there was no difference existed the variable of sex, marriage experience, educational background, subject, license, management on job stress. 2. There was significant difference existed among variables of the kind of hospital, religion background, the year of social work form, the background of the social work manager, the number of social workers on job stress. But there was no difference existed the variable of hospital category , social work department category on job stress. 3. There was significant difference existed among variables of age on burnout. But there was no difference existed the variable of sex, marriage experience, religion, educational background, subject, the total number of working years, license, management on burnout. 4. There was significant difference existed among variables of the kind of hospital, religion background, the background of the social work manager，the number of social workers on burnout. But there was no difference existed the variable of hospital category , the year of social work form , social work department category on burnout. 5. A significant positive correlation was identified between job stress and burnout of the medical social workers. Finally, this study provided some suggestions for organization of hospital, the manager of social work department, the professional organization of social work，the medical social worker and other study in the future.
