A Study on the Student''''s Career Maturity in Elementary School

碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所碩士班 === 92 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the senior graders of elementary school students about （1）the present situation of career maturity （2）the differences among career maturity of the different. (3) to provide suggestions for education and guidance.The study adopted literature review and questionnaire survey. The study samples were 555 elementary school students chosen from 20 different classes in Chai-yi City and Chai-yi County, including 273 boys and 282 girls. The research data was analyzed by SPSS and the statistic methods of data analysis were t- test, one-way ANOVA. After the test and data statistics’ analysis, the conclusion could be summed up as follows: 1.The entirety of the elementary school students tended to be good on career maturity. 2.There is no significant difference between boys and girls on career maturity. 3.Career maturity of the elementary school students is better complying with the grade adding. 4.Career maturity of the elementary school students with higher school results are better than the lowers. 5.The elementary school students with higher social economic status are more definite（than the lowers）on career maturity. 6.Students live with parents have high scores on 「career awareness」. 7.The school life is related closely with the career maturity. 8.There is no significant difference between country and city on student’s career maturity. Based on these findings listed above, suggestions to teachers, parents, authorities concerned and further research are presented.
