To strengthen and improve our tourism environment, we have to establish an objective evaluating information. Due to the lacking of the ranking indicator of home stay facility, this study aims to setting up evaluation indicator of home stay, investigating relative importance of evaluation indicator and suggesting ways available to evaluate home stay facility.
With surveying inner meanings of home stay facility, realizing the difference between home stay and hotel , and further reviewing every evaluation item in the leisure-industry-relating study, the induction indicates three levels of indicator of appraising home stay facility discussed by basic facility, serving quality, feature of resource , and community linkage as well as 52 evaluation indicator. Research data was collected from questionnaires which aim at experts in home stay facility, hotel as well as leisure agriculture field, officers who are in charge of home stay affairs in the government, and the runner of home stay. This paper uses the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to calculate and statistic the ratio of every indicator. The main conclusions are as follows:
1. The basic facility and serving quality of home stay facility weigh more in the first level indicator. Architectural feature, friendly atmosphere and the good manners of the servants, and beautiful landscape are relative important in the second level indicator.
2. Although the features of the resource and community linkages of home stay facility weigh relatively less in evaluation indicator, they reveal the unique essence of home stay which is worth respecting.
