Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 經濟學系碩士在職專班 === 93 === China will attempt to upgrade its banking system to mitigate the effects of international competition due to China’s membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO). These upgrades will include improvement of management, the introduction of new products, the improvement of services, the improvement of information transmission and the cultivation of new talent. In addition, in terms of limited liability, strengthening capital construction, changing management modes, developing comprehensive banking, continuing financial organization, reducing policy intervention and advancing research in mercerization will aid in the expansion of business opportunities in the Chinese banking system after China joins the WTO. This study will isolate four areas of commercial banking in China: 1. The central role of commercial banks in the financial system of China. 2. The process of legalization and modernization of commercial banks. 3. How the framework upgrading the banking system will evolve. 4. How joining the WTO will stimulate innovations in the banking system and the overall financial system in China.
