| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 環境教育研究所 === 93 === The idea of “Green Hotel” has been developing for a long time in many countries. Systematic models and certification mechanisms for Green Hotel were intended to be built. However, so far there has been no policy setting in this issue in Taiwan. The increasing need for lodging accompanying with tourism brought about many environmental problems in Taiwan. Therefore, the environmental management issues need to be planned as early as possible and the standards of performance of the Green Hotel Certification need to be established as well. In this study, we tried to find out the competitive strategies of Green Hotel Certification in Taiwan so that they can be referred by relevant authorities.
The SWOT approach associated with secondary data collection and expert interview investigation was employed to analyze the attributes of Green Hotel Certification in Taiwan. Then, the strategic factors that can match the SWOT matrix can be obtained and the SO strategies, ST strategies, WO strategies, and WT strategies can be identified. The expert interviews can help conclude the concrete operation goals and the competitive strategies of Green Hotel Certification. Finally, by applying Analytical Hierarchy Process method (AHP) and expert questionnaire survey, several competitive strategies were obtained. Thus, the priorities of the strategies for Green Hotel Certification in Taiwan can be proposed.
