Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 應用化學研究所 === 93 === Abstract The formation of the structure of water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybridized resin made by the polyurethane ionomer reacted with respective styrene, methyl methacrylate and allyl glycidyl ether in the presence of other additives has been demonstrated by IR spectra. The experimental results showed that the number average particle sized and viscosity of water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybridized resin appeared increase with increasing concentration of styrene, methyl methacrylate and allyl glycidyl ether, respectively, as a result of increased free volume resulting form intermolecular interaction between hybrid resin molecules themselves and between hybrid resin molecules and water molecules as well. For the surface tension of water soluble PU/Styrene hybridized resin, it appeared to increase with increasing concentration of styrene and methyl methacrylate, respectively. This is because the hydrophobic adsorbed at the surface of the water became even more ordered. For the hardness of the film made by water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybridized resin appeared to react one H hardness of the pencil at 5g or 6g concentrations of styrene, while for the film made by polyurane/styrene hybridized resin, it the concentration of methyl methacrylate increased to 28g or 29g. On the other hand, for the film made by polyurethane/ styrene hybridized resin, its hardness appeared to decrease with increasing concentration of allyl glycidyl ether. This is because the molecules on the surface of the film became less ordered. Experimental results also indicated that the respective tensile strength, modulus and elongation of the film made by water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybridized resin appeared to increase with an increase of styrene and methyl methacrylate concentration, respectively. It is because the interaction between water soluble polyurethane/acrylics molecules themselves may make the cross-linking capability of water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybridized resin become stronger. On the other herd, the tensile strength for the film made by the water- soluble polyurethane/styrene hybridized resin appeared to decrease with increasing concentration of allyl glycidyl ether, as a result of intramolecular interaction of hybridized resin molecule it itself.
