If we study Tong-Guang Style from the point of view of Song poetry, it limits the meanings and evolutions of Tong-Guang Style in the field of late Qing poetry.
Through the arguments of Tang and Song poetry, Chen Yan’s poems are actually transforming the old literatures into the new ones.
Disengage the misconception of Tong-Guang Style, we will find out that the turning point of Modern Chinese New Literature is not at the Shijie geming, but at Chinese Classic Poetry itself.
