碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 環境政策研究所 === 94 === This research depends on the learning processes of hot spring dealers using the Natural Purification System to conduct hot spring wastewater to explore if they are inclined to the self-directed learning; and further, if there is correlation between the self-directed learning and the will to conduct hot spring wastewater. This research adopts the implements of the Participant Observation, the In-Depth Interview and the Grounded Theory to analyse and prove the survey. After analysing the interviewees’ motives on the primary learning stage, the modes of the learning activities, the learning barriers and the learning feedbacks, we found that the dealers who have conducted hot spring wastewater are highly enthusiastic and interested during the processes of operating, and they are the persistent learners with remarkable achievements. On the other hand, the dealers who haven’t conducted hot spring wastewater, despite being conservative dealers, they are still willing to conduct hot spring wastewater and have learning motives. Rural areas are extensive and lack of wastewater disposal equipments, therefore, by means of the ecological consciousness transformation and the learning, it is able to educate and make the best use of the dealers having self-directed learning tendencies in Rui Sui hot spring area. In the future, we hope it will be bonded with the developments of the communities, and promote the ecological consciousness and the decontaminating abilities of the residents living in rural areas, in order to pass on the ideals of the environmental protection.
