Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 94 === Abstract The designed life-spans of civil structures are 50 to 100 years usually. During operating the design conditions may be changed because of the geological activities, groundwater leakage or erosion, time-dependent properties of supporting material, etc. Exceptional or extraordinary phenomena such as concrete cracks, material deterioration and leaking, may be arisen due to variation of environmental condition or other reasons. These abnormal phenomena may endanger their service functions, and resulted in repair, retrofit, or even more, rebuilding of these structures. Maintenance and rehabilitation are usually precedent to rebuilding because it is costly and prolonged for underground structures. However, there are plenty of limitations on the construction for tunnel maintenance and rehabilitation due to its long and narrow space. This topic has been paid much attention since some renovation projects aimed to enhance their service functions and to extend their life-spans in early 1990’s in Taiwan. The present paper aims to establish the framework of tunnel inspection and maintenance system in order to enhance the service level and extend the life time of rock tunnel. The present paper investigates tunnel lining inspection and their corresponding maintenance work in north-link railway in Taiwan. The objects for inspection and the relevant techniques are accessed firstly. The criteria for tunnel safety classes evaluation is then briefed. And the design work and the maintenance technologies are also discussed. Finally, some comments related with tunnel rehabilitation are recommended. Keywords: rock tunnel, inspection, maintenance
