The research subjects are all the teachers of public and private kindergartens, “The Current Investigative Questionnaire of applying Art Material at kindergartens in Taipei City”, which is designed by the researcher, is the primary method in this study. In addition, multiple-cases study also is observed in this research. A total of 198 and 402 questionnaires are sent out to each Public and Private kindergartens in Taipei city respectively, with a corresponding response rate of 86.9% and confidence level at 0.9318. The topic of multiple-cases study focuses on three fields: The teaching material of information technology material is observed at the Tze-Miao Kindergarten. The teaching material of appreciation art is applied at-Sin-Miao Kindergarten. The teaching material of folk drawing is investigated at Chian-Miao Kindergarten. To completely realize what is the situation of each teacher applies the three arts material in classroom. The researcher do not participates in teaching, but observing all process of teaching. The data of multiple-cases study is collected with observation, interview, photographing. The results of this study are: 1. The rule of choosing the materials of teaching drawing mostly base on “the approach of child-center”, mentioning to the principle most focuses on cooperating with “the theme of education” about the goal prefer to “inspire the child’s creation”. 2. Most applying the appreciation art teaching tends to “the child’s picture book.” “ Information and related equipments” is the primary teaching material for teaching information technology. Teaching material of folk drawing is the most applying what scene around the child’s life. 3. Appling the way of informational technology teaching tends to use “appreciation art works”. The material of appreciation drawing prefer to “appreciate and analysis the child picture book”. The material of teaching folk drawing primary educates “what’s the local culture and landscape.” The teaching way of the three fields are most “group teaching.” “The child activity room” is more popular. The choosing and collecting of teaching material is mostly carried out by “teachers” 4. The problems of choosing material for teaching drawing are: In the public kindergarten is “the child drawing ability is deficit.” In private kindergarten is “the resource of teaching is deficit.” Eventually, the findings of this study assist the teacher of kindergarten to develop and self-cognition in teaching drawing; and promote the teacher’s ability of choosing teaching drawing material. Helping the manager of kindergarten can make a right decision for buying the teaching material. Clarifying the belief of parents and society’s in what’s the exactly right approach in teaching drawing.
