In this case, "Ning-Po, Taipei City Cemetery" will be studied and used as an example to demonstrate the tortuous relationship of Nature and Human, in an urban setting, as a result of Disconnection between Life and Death However, after studying the progressive changes of funeral and burial ceremonies, and analysis of the developing trend in dealing with death, from the ceremonies to the attitude taken towards death in contemporary society, it revealed that there is no definite separation of life and death. The boundary between life and death was evidently growing ambiguous and weak, as seen in the road-side ceremonies and changes in burial methods (tree, sea, pre-death contracts......etc.). The site, Ning-Po, Taipei City Cemetery, was studied through a model constructed from analytical findings of the phenomena described above. By Re-Organizing the relationships of Life and Death, the relationship of Human and Nature was Re-Established. By Re-Defining the relationship between Facilities and Daily-Life, the spatial hierarchy and programs of the Facility(mortuary, crematory, funeral servicestc.) was re-interpreted. Through the discussions of the issue at hand, and design strategies, challenging the opposing and absolute relationship of Life and Death. Shi-wei Lo 羅時瑋 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 91 zh-TW |

碩士 === 東海大學 === 建築學系 === 94 === Due fear and the unknowable nature of death in our traditional values, we are accustomed to exclude death from our daily lives, resulting in a disconnection of Life and Death. In this case, "Ning-Po, Taipei City Cemetery" will be studied and used as an example to demonstrate the tortuous relationship of Nature and Human, in an urban setting, as a result of Disconnection between Life and Death
However, after studying the progressive changes of funeral and burial ceremonies, and analysis of the developing trend in dealing with death, from the ceremonies to the attitude taken towards death in contemporary society, it revealed that there is no definite separation of life and death. The boundary between life and death was evidently growing ambiguous and weak, as seen in the road-side ceremonies and changes in burial methods (tree, sea, pre-death contracts......etc.).

By Re-Defining the relationship between Facilities and Daily-Life, the spatial hierarchy and programs of the Facility(mortuary, crematory, funeral servicestc.) was re-interpreted.
