This study aim to discover the differences of the training program given to their workers across the strait and have sent out 250 questionnaires . In the end, 48 results were collected with the following findings: I. Because of different legal system, the protection of business interests, personal security, and decision making, the training provided for Taiwanese executives by the Taiwanese business include 23 seminars on P.R.C. laws (47.92%) as the most popular. The enormous domestic market makes local business and market the second with 13 seminars (27.08%). 11(22.92%) seminars sponsored by local consulting firms allowed Taiwanese executives to understand the local environment. The most important training for Taiwanese executives deemed by Taiwanese business is custom, tariff, and contract management. II. Larger business place more emphasis on training and set up departments responsible for training. Because of this, training for executives located in mainland and across the strait are implemented more effectively. III. Taiwan business has utilized remote teaching for training. Due to the popularity of remote teaching platforms and contents as well as improvement in internet connections, the cost and training efficiencies have been improved greatly. This has been adopted by much Taiwan business: 9(18.75%) on quality assurance; 8(16.66%) on ERP system, 6(12.5%) on professional skills. From the top three, emphasis on training has been placed on quality, ERP, professional skills, and OEM training. IV. We recommend that future study join effort with academic institution on he main land (sister schools) or Taiwan business associations to help in the sample gathering. This may be beneficial to cross-industry comparism as well.
