A Study on the Acknowledgement and Practice of the Risk Management of Physical Education Teachers in Senior High Schools and Vocational High Schools in Kaohsiung

碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 95 === The purpose of this study was destined to investigate the practice and acknowledgement of the risk management of physical education teachers in senior as well as vocational high schools in Kaohsiung City, and it was to analyze the differences of risk management of teachers with various backgrounds. Questionnaires had been designed in this research and passed to the 248 PE teachers of 32 public and private senior and vocational high schools in Kaohsiung City for the survey. The valid questionnaires collected were 202. The percentage rate of collecting the questionnaires was up to 85%. According to the data, processed through descriptive statistic, factor analysis, t-tests, and one-way analysis of variance, the results were as follow: 1. As for the structure of sex in senior and vocational high PE teachers, most were male; in teaching experience, most teachers taught for less than 5 years, and the teachers who took part in the athletic representative teams were in the majority. About 90 percent of PE teachers had the experience getting injuries in their school days or as an athlete. 2. Risk acknowledgement in every aspect made difference between the acknowledgement and practice. 3. The PE teachers in senior and vocational high schools in Kaohsiung City obviously stressed less the practice of every aspect of risk management in school. However, the stress on “PE teaching” was still more than that on any other aspect. 4. As for the practice of risk management of senior and vocational high school PE teachers with different variables of background: (1) It didn’t make obvious difference in the acknowledgement of risk management of PE teachers with the difference in sex. In practice, except for “Gym and Equipment”, the others made difference. (2) The various age and seniority of PE teachers made difference in the acknowledgement of risk. In practice, except for “PE teaching”, the others didn’t make difference. (3) The teachers who took part in the athletic representative teams put more attention to the risk management in schools than those who didn’t. The teachers with the experience of getting injuries stressed more the risk management than those without the experience.
