The subjects were 322 college counselors (56 males & 262 females are included) from 48 universities and colleges in Taiwan. Instruments used in the study were: Vicarious Traumatization Scale, Self-care Scale, and Organizational Context Scale. Data collected were analyzed by ANOVA, Pearson Productmoment Correlation, Multiple Regression and Path Analysis. The main findings were as follows: 1. The different years of experience and professional titles of college counselors showed significant difference in vicarious traumatization and organizational context. In addition, different service hours of college counselors showed significant difference in self-care. The different problems which were affected from clients of college counselors showed significant difference in vicarious traumatization. 2. Vicarious traumatization, self-care and organizational context could be predicted effectively by different service hours of college counselors. Besides, vicarious traumatization could be predicted effectively by different years of experience of college counselors. 3. There were a negative correlation between college counselors’ vicarious traumatization and organizational context. 4. It is possible to predict vicarious traumatization effectively by using college counselors’ organizational context; college counselors’ self-care and organizational context could effectively predict theirs vicarious traumatization. 5. The path analysis “College counselors’ self-care and organizational context influenced vicarious traumatization; meanwhile, self-care and organizational context were influenced mutually.” did not verify its fitness.
