To monitor ionospheric disturbances, National Central University has operated an high frequency ionosphere Doppler sounding system which consists of one transmitter at Liyutan Reservoir Miaoli, and four receivers at National Central University, Da-Han. Institute Technology, Fuli downtown, and National Chi-Nai University since 2003. This thesis examines ionospheric Doppler shifts of the cosesmic effects induced by the 26 Dec. 2004 M 9.3 sumatra earthquake, as well as the precursor signatures during the 26 Dec. 2006 M 7.0 Pingtung earthquake.
