Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 區域人文社會學系碩士班 === 95 === Abstract Tourist agriculture has become a new trend in managing agriculture. Of which, tourist orchards that allow people to experience picking fruit was among the first to be developed and remains popular. This management style, which combines agricultural production and the tourist recreational industry, has allowed agriculture to advance from being a first-level industry involved only with production to becoming a second- or third-level industry, with greater additional value. Among the various use values and non-use values in tourist orchards, the recreation value for tourists through fruit-picking, leisure, and experiences cannot be manifested through market transactions, and it is necessary to use “value of non-market goods” to find the value of their benefits. This study uses the travel cost method and contingent behavior as theoretical bases, and uses the count data regression model to establish the tourist demand coefficient in the tourist strawberry gardens of Dahu, and calculates the consumer surplus of tourists. Results show: the recreation value per capital of tourists in tourist strawberry gardens of Dahu is 2457 NT, and the yearly recreation value per capital is 4227 NT; calculating with 1.1 million tourists per year, the annual recreation value is 4.65 billion NT. Evaluation with different agricultural methods shows that the consumer surplus under the “assumption of a total change to organic strawberry gardens” has a greater ratio of increase than conventional strawberries. Investigation of the different years shows that in 2006, the various revenue were higher than that of 2007. It can be seen that the recreation value of tourist strawberry gardens has shown negative growth in the two recent years. Comparatively, it is the organic strawberry gardens that have the advantage of potential long-term growth.
