The research was conducted on the scene of music teaching, and strategies were applied to the 7th graders of Tai-Wu Junior High School, Pingtong County, Taiwan. The period of the course was 10 weeks, and one 45-minute class was given each week. The researcher delved into the effect of Paiwan-song music course on students’ learning attitudes in the following ways: the prior and posterior assessments of the questionnaires on students’ learning attitudes toward Paiwan-song music course, the researcher’s teaching journals, observation forms, students’ self-assessment sheets, the interviews and the feedback worksheets. The outcomes are as follows: I. The Design of Paiwan-Song Music Course (1) Link the school-based characteristics and design Paiwan-song music course to elevate the positive effect on students’ understanding and group identification with the background of Paiwan culture. (2) Elevate the positive effect on students’ understanding toward Paiwan songs based on the designed themes of the various types of Paiwan songs. (3) The design of Paiwan-song music course is combined with students’ real life experiences to raise their learning incentives. (4) According to the teaching content, the Paiwan-song music course is divided into three main axes: musical concept, performance and appreciation, all of which are conducive to students’ musical proficiency and understanding. II. The Influence of Paiwan-song music course on Paiwan Junior High Students’ Learning Attitudes. (1) There is a notable influence of Paiwan-song music course over Paiwan junior high students’ learning attitudes in the following three aspects: learning motives, learning behaviors and learning cognition. (2) There is no notable difference on the learning attitudes, including learning motives, learning behaviors and learning cognition, of students from the families with varied genders, parental origins and languages. (3) There is a positive effect of Paiwan-song music course on students’ learning affection. (4) There is a positive effect of Paiwan-song music course on students’ learning behaviors. (5) There is a positive effect of Paiwan-song music course on Paiwan junior high students’ learning cognition of Paiwan culture and their musical nourishment as well as proficiency.
