碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 國際財務金融碩士在職專班 === 95 === The foreign investors have an optimistic view in Taiwan economy and participate in investing in Taiwan stock market in recent years. As the government continuously opens the foreign investors to invest in Taiwan stock market, the domestic and foreign institutional investors accounts for the rate of stock trading in Taiwan already more than 25% at the end of 2006, among them the foreign institutional investors are up to 14.22%, higher than the domestic institutional investors. All of the foreign institutional investors holding shares for the total market value has already been up to 32%,it shows foreign investors and foreign securities firms participating in Taiwan stock market that has changed the structure of market and generated very important influence power to Taiwan stock market. This research focuses on research and discussion to the business opportunities of the local banks dealing with the foreign securities firms in Taiwan. It expects to explore out the business opportunities with great economic benefits in the great economic activities and stretches the business feeler to world progressively , then the local banks business activities no longer confine in the domestic market and emit light and heat on the international arena. According to this research that obtains the following conclusion: The main business activity of foreign securities firms in Taiwan is offering brokerage service to foreign investors in trading Taiwan securities at present. Most foreign securities firms in Taiwan do not repel to establish the relation of commercial intercourse with the local banks. The local banks are familiar with the domestic regulation and utilize the advantages to strive for the commercial intercourse with foreign securities firms in Taiwan. But overseas policy , global dispatch platform of fund and financial goods ,deal with business accuracy and efficiency , bank scale and credit rating etc. are the important key factors of striving for commercial intercourse . In addition, consummate foreign language ability , will contribute to the improvement of the commercial intercourse levels of both sides , may visit the overseas general headquarters directly to obtain more chances to commercial intercourse. The local banks should explore and look for the business opportunities in relevant business procedure detail of the foreign securities firms in Taiwan, grind and draw up corresponding service scheme and offer perfect financial service with efficiency and good quality. It could obtain the favor of the foreign securities firms in Taiwan and maintain for a long time commercial intercourse. Once after setting up good public praise, It will attract more of the foreign securities firms in Taiwan to establish the relation of commercial intercourse.
