Description
Summary:碩士 === 正修科技大學 === 營建工程研究所 === 96 === This thesis presents a case study of deep excavation at a field site in Kaohsiung city, Taiwan. The spatial geologic condition of highly saliferous soil at such site could make diaphragm wall defect and disaster during construction. After the damage of construction site, the important issue is how to accurately predict the wall displacement for the defective diaphragm wall. This study will organize the measured wall displacements of diaphragm wall from practical site during construction. The FLAC numerical simulation is conducted to validate the site specific data and analyze the effects of wall displacement caused by diaphragm wall defect. To investigate the wall displacement after damage, the study is simulated by reducing the wall stiffness at defective locations and by reducing the strength of disturbed soil around the diaphragm wall. The simulation results showed that the defective diaphragm wall would lead to significant diaphragm displacement and such displacement cannot be effectively simulated by classical approaches. However, more studies and case verifications are needed to draw definitive conclusions.
