It is necessary to establish the mathematical model for tolerances and fits. The main goal of the project is to set reasonable tolerancing specification of the key components of the differential mechanism. The work of the project includes: 1.To determine the relationship of nominal sizes, tolerances and limit deviation of closing link and component link based on the dimensional chains. 2.To find the significant parameters according to Taguchi method, the tolerance set of components of the differential mechanism will be improved. 3.To use the technique of rapid prototyping for building the prototype of the differential mechanism, the results of tolerance design can be verified. The purpose of this research of simulates the change of each dimension in the dimensional chain. And to adjust the tolerance of design parameters.
