However, the biochips need to have high precision in many kinds of application. Therefore, the application of photochromic functional dyes in biotechnology will be implemented in future. The major purpose of this study is to synthesize an array of hydroxyl derivatives of spiro compound (1a), including an amino acid for biochip use.
