As the largest metro service provider in Taiwan, the TRTC has difficulty to make the knowledge exchange well while developing the business. However, to assure the enterprise predominance, the TRTC tried to develop an education model, set up a reasonable regulation to educate the staff via enterprise information system. This study sequentially showed the updated environment of mass transit industry in Taiwan, and discussed the knowledge type, education system, information storage, acquisition, and knowledge transference as well. In addition, the referable theory became more realistic, when it applied to staff education, and E-training system in the TRTC. Mass transit is an infant industry in Taiwan. There are only few cases could be be compared and studied. However, this study provided a novel reseach model focused on knowledge education and information transference in mass transit industry. Base on this study, the prospective researcher could use quantitative method to prove the theory, and expand the rearch area to the cooperation model of staff education with other enterprises. As to the relationship of knowledge type, training, education, and knowledge transference, here suggests three points of veiw as follows. 1. The most important knowledge type in transportation enterprise is domain-specific knowledge, which could be assisted by E-learning platform to integrate with objective knowledge and promote the efficiency of educational training. 2. Appropriate education in transportation enterprise could interfere with the way of knowledge transference and the procedure. However, if the inspection points of education could be linked to rewards and penalties system, the knowledge transference efficiency would be increased. 3. Increasing, standardizing, and arranging knowledge type documetation storage and acquisition via management system does benefit the storage and acquistion of further information.
