碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 兒童文學研究所 === 96 === The wolf and sheep, in the food chain, the sheep are the primary consumers, the food provided to senior consumers. It is a natural law that the wolf eats the sheep, but in the literature, particularly in the fairy tales, the wolf gets a lot of negative evaluations. Grimm's Fairy Tales（The Wolf and The Seven Sheep） had the basic typical about the wolf and the sheep. In the classical fairy tales , the wolf was considered a liar , a faker or a gluttony. The wolf was a synonym for the bad guys but the role of the stereotypical was broken by degrees. The series set of picture books about the wolf and sheep which were written by Yuuichi Kimura (あらしのよるに ) and Abe Hongshi（あべひろし）showed the obvious attempt. In this paper, take the series set of the seven picture books about the wolf and sheep for my research books through the ways of document analysis and reading the texts. This research on literature basic elements：the role, the plot and the subject three aspects by reading “The Pleasures of Children 's Literature”, “ Youth Novel Everybody Read: The Initiation and The Growth” ” Picture Book of Appreciation And Application”and so on for the literature creation theory to discuss the meaning of the series set of picture books about the wolf and sheep, view the works innovative and limitations, think the messages conveyed by the authors. This study found that the series set of picture books about the wolf and sheep, in the role of shape, the author not only blurred the gender roles but also subverted the classical fairy tales about the images and relations of the wolf and sheep by shaping the characters. In the development of the plot, the authors caused the tension of the circumstances by the way of drama, progressive presented, and using the weather changes. Let the subversion of the theme have more convincing. The authors of the books subverted the oppositions of the male/female, good/evil, strong/weak and beyond the either-or dualism. Texts reversed the stereotypes of the wolf and sheep successfully. When the authors subverted the stereotype characters, they also subverted the ways of the reader’s thinking.
