includes bandwidth of 2.3-9.3 GHz. The balanced loop antenna is fed by a broadband Marchand balun which convert CPW to CPS to achieve broad impedance bandwidth and quasi-omnidirectional radiation. This Marchand balun is designed with a new
equivalent circuit, and implemented with plane structure which has several air-bridges on it. This balun is also designed from 2.4 to 8 GHz. After combining with Marchand balun on tapered loop antenna, the performance of antenna is almost not affected. In addition, we make output ports of Marchand balun on the sides of it. When combining
with loop antenna, this circuit layout can reduce whole area effectively.
Otherwise, by combining a dual band notch resonant slot on loop antenna, we can have excellent performance of dual band stop. On the loop antenna we have proposed, the resonant slots produce dual band notch of 3.3-3.7 GHz (WiMAX) and 5-6 GHz
(WLAN) without increasing complexity of circuit. By integrating the notch structure on the antenna circuit, noise influence would be greatly diminished for UWB communication applications.
