The purpose of this research is to study the technology of TIMSS video study. The video study is a two-stage stratified cluster design and to make a systematic sample of the mathematics teachers from the 4th-grade in Taipei county. Our study has been carried out using the video of teaching, digitizing, coding, and analyzing the data to describe and investigate classroom teaching practices in Fourth Grade in Taipei county. The population is the cluster of mathematics teachers from the 4th-grade in Taipei county. The data collection for this study is the videotaping of a full mathematics lesson in each sampled classroom, a teacher questionnaire, photocopies of text pages, a teaching plan , worksheets, and other materials used in the lesson. The researcher codes the data of the videotaping lesson and the questionnaire, and analyzes the result through the analysis survey weights. The researcher carries out the analysis and explanation of the data by two aspects. It includes the result of questionnaire survey, and coding the videotaping lesson. First, the researcher finds that the similarity between the videotaping lesson and the lesson ordinarily taught by the teacher suggests that the result is reliability. The teachers in Taipei county mean that the most important factor to affect the achievement of ideal teaching is a enrolment of many students in a class. The teachers in Taipei county teach math with great enthusiasm. Second, the researcher finds that the classroom interaction patterns in Taipei county are entirely public interaction mostly. When the private interaction, the teachers in Taipei county mainly solve the problems learned by students. The teachers in Taipei county go on the math work by solving the math problem in the lecture. The teachers in Taipei county spend more time to introduce and apply the new content of math knowledge, less time to review of a prior lesson learned previously. 李源順 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 235 zh-TW
