As perishable product’s period of validity is short, the value of any unsold products after one sale’s cycle will decrease. As the interface with customer, retailer owns more sales information and should be the decision-maker of service. But retailer’s location of service incurs double marginaliztion, which will hurt the whole supply chains profitable. In order to increase profits, find retailer and supplier’s optimal service level with buy-back and revenue sharing contracts.
This paper considers the problem of double marginaliztion under buy-back and revenue sharing contracts. Assume the retailer applies cycle review replenishment policy, and demand is normal distribution. Three scenarios of this paper are considered: cycle service level of retailer’s local decision, whole supply chain’s decision, and supply-retailer’s joint decision are defined and optimized.
The main objective is to find retailer’s optimal order quantity, and to discuss different scenarios rational cost allocation .In the case a joint decision strategy based cooperation between the two sides should be studied to decease double marginaliztion in practice。
